Eric Whitrock, President

Eric founded MBR in 1996. Since then, MBR has analyzed hundreds of billions of dollars in healthcare claims and successfully managed resolution of over $2 billion in distressed claims for more than 250 hospitals and clinics, nationwide. Clients include the largest healthcare companies in the world to the smallest rural providers. He designed AudiMed™, the charge auditing software used for 17 years by the City and County of Denver Department of Health and Hospitals. He also designed the innovative AnswerData™ suite of software for healthcare revenue cycle management and strategic claims liquidation. This suite of products includes ARMS™, 3DATB™, and QDAR™. Eric co-developed MBR’s Extended Business Office (EBO), a HIPAA and Level II SSAE 16-compliant remote patient accounts processing facility. The EBO operates in real-time with existing hospital and clinical patient accounting systems. Eric has also served as Committee Chair for HFMA.

 

Bruce O. Savnik, Executive Vice President

Bruce has over 30 years of corporate management experience, the past 15 years as MBR’s Executive Vice President. Bruce was instrumental in co-developing MBR’s EBO. Prior to that, he served eight years as Director of Real Estate for HCA – Rose Healthcare System working primarily with physician practice facilities. Before entering healthcare, Bruce was General Manager for the Edward J. DeBartolo Corporation in the commercial real estate industry. Bruce is a former minority owner of the Cleveland Indians Baseball Company, Inc. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Baldwin-Wallace College with a double major in Business and Fine Arts.

 

Tina Ward, CPAT, CCAT, Senior Manager

Tina has 15 years of healthcare revenue cycle experience in the areas of Patient Access and third party follow-up. She has comprehensive knowledge of insurance billing and the various payers’ claims adjudication processes. She identifies and implements improvements in the revenue cycle continuum for increasing cash flow with more efficiency and productivity. She has direct experience with a host of diverse patient accounting systems and the expertise to create ad-hoc accounts receivable reports. Each project Tina manages for MBR performs with best-in-class results.

 

Robin Linker, MBR Advisory Board, Partner

Robin Linker, CHCA, CHCAS, CPC-I, CPC, COC (CPC-H), CPC-P, MCS-P, CHC is a leading expert in health care coding, auditing, education and documentation nationwide. She is the Executive Director of Operations for the Association of Health Care Auditors and Educators and CEO of Robin Linker & Associates, a nationally known healthcare consulting firm in Colorado. With over 30 years in healthcare, she provides consulting, auditing, research and education in most areas of practice management, compliance and correct coding for teaching institutions and other large facilities to small group or single physician practices. She is certified in both physician and facility coding through the American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC) and is dually certified in medical compliance, including the Health Care Compliance Association. Robin is called upon frequently to lecture and author publications and articles to various organizations on documentation, coding compliance and healthcare regulatory issues. She is a former member of the Provider Outreach and Education Advisory Group (POE-AG) for TrailBlazers and CMS and is a former Director of Education and Technical Development for the American Academy of Professional Coders and has contributed in the technical and developing process to many of the national certification and specialty exams. She provides assistance to physicians, attorneys and facilities with education, auditing, consulting, IRO services, and support with fraud and abuse cases.  As an author and curriculum developer, Robin has been an advocate in healthcare contributing to improvements to benefit all regardless of financial status or size.  She is the co-author and presenter of the American Medical Associations ICD-10-CM Training Workshops and annual CPT Updates Workshops;. She continues as co-author of college curriculum, Understanding Medical Coding: A Comprehensive Guide, currently in it's 3rd edition with the 4th edition scheduled for release in early 2016. She continues to provide healthcare software support in various areas, assisting with development, design and improvements. Holly Fanáh, Interim CFO

Holly began her career in the business of hospital finance in 1986, where she worked for a medical records auditing firm, Medical Charge Recovery.  She then went to work for a large Denver company, helping them run their revenue cycle management firm as the CFO.  While working for them, Holly noticed a need by their clients and was instrumental in helping them develop one of the nation’s first document imaging companies for hospital business offices.  In 2003, Holly left the hospital finance world, to become CFO/COO for a Denver based TV show, radio show and referral list.  There she handled all of the business’ finances, as well as stream lining the day-to-day operations.  In addition to her executive roles, Holly acted as talent on the TV and radio shows.  In 2014, she returned to the world of Hospital Finance, by joining Medical Business Resources.
