Eric Whitrock, President
Eric founded MBR in 1996. Since then, MBR has collected hundreds of millions of dollars in cash from aging claims for more than 170 hospitals and clinics. He designed AudiMed™, the charge auditing software used by the City and County of Denver Department of Health and Hospitals. He also designed the innovative AnswerData™ suite of software for healthcare revenue cycle, claims management and liquidation from provider data extracts. This suite of products includes ARMS™, 3DATB™, and QDAR™. Eric co-developed MBR’s Extended Business Office (EBO), a technologically advanced remote patient accounts processing facility which operates in real-time with existing hospital and clinical patient accounting systems. He has served as Committee Chair for the HFMA, and is the recipient of the Folmer Award of Merit.
Bruce O. Savnik, Executive Vice President
Bruce has over 30 years of corporate management experience, the past 15 years as MBR’s Executive Vice President. Bruce was instrumental in co-developing MBR’s EBO. Prior to that, he served eight years as Director of Real Estate for HCA – Rose Healthcare System working primarily with physician practice facilities. Before entering healthcare, Bruce was General Manager for the Edward J. DeBartolo Corporation in the commercial real estate industry. Bruce is a former minority owner of the Cleveland Indians Baseball Company, Inc. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Baldwin-Wallace College with a double major in Business and Fine Arts.

Phillip L. Begley, Director of Revenue Cycle Operations
Phil has more than 30 years of healthcare finance, business office operations, and revenue cycle experience. Phil evaluates and identifies cash recovery opportunities and operational improvements. He collaborates with clients, provides education and training to enhance knowledge and productivity. Mr. Begley served as the Business Manager of Surgical Services for Blessing Hospital in Illinois before being promoted to Administrative Director of Revenue Cycle Management. He was the Group Director, Patient Financial Services for Hannibal Regional Hospital, and former Director, Patient Financial Services for Platte Valley Medical Center. Phil has served as Adjunct Instructor for the School of Health Management, a division of the A.T. Still University of Health Science. He is a national member of the Medical Group Management Association (MGMA), the American Association of Healthcare Administrative Management (AAHAM), and past Chapter President. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management from LaSalle University.
Dave Eaton, Senior Director, Information Technology
Dave has 26 years of extensive application development experience. He has held prominent positions at such prestigious companies as Integrated Petroleum Systems, ACS, ISEC, and consulting work with the FDIC. At each organization, Dave designs state-of-the-art software programs for data system automation. He has written the second generation of the Charge Auditing Program for the City and County of Denver Department of Health and Hospitals. Dave also collaborated in the development of the ARMS™, and QDAR™ programs. He authored an article which appeared in the Fox-Pro Advisor magazine in January of 1998 titled, “Application Development: Think Outside the Box”. Dave possesses innate leadership qualities which enabled him to hold many managerial positions in his career. Dave has been an integral part of MBR since 1999.
Margo Wilcox, MBA, PMP, Director of Corporate Operations
Margo Wilcox is an accomplished executive with 15+ years of experience in operations roles. Most recently Margo headed the Life Sciences team within a multinational localization company concentrating on quality controls as well as creating efficiencies in processes and project deliverables. In her 4 year tenure Margo grew revenue by over 70% and was recognized globally for her achievements. Margo holds a BA in Communications from the University of Maryland and an MBA with a concentration in Supply Chain and Management from the University of Colorado. She is also a certified Project Management Professional (PMP).
Tina Ward, CPAT, CCAT, Project Manager, Business Office Manager
Tina has 15 years of healthcare revenue cycle experience in the areas of Patient Access and third party follow-up. She has comprehensive knowledge of insurance billing and the various payers’ claims adjudication processes. She identifies and implements improvements in the revenue cycle continuum for increasing cash flow with more efficiency and productivity. She has direct experience with a host of diverse patient accounting systems and the expertise to create ad-hoc accounts receivable reports. Each project Tina manages for MBR performs with best-of-class results.
Penny Weide, CPAT, CCT, CCAT, Senior Account Analyst
Penny has more than 22 years of healthcare government payer experience, and a broad range of knowledge of the revenue cycle process. She works with all aspects of claim processing, charge auditing, denial management, data entry and cash posting. Penny is well-versed in the completion of Medicare CMS provider enrollment forms 855, 460, 588, and 18 different state Medicaid enrollment applications for facility and professional billing services. Her skills and experience as a supervisor results in cohesive teams that are professionally trained, well-informed ,and highly productive. As a National Member and exam proctor of AAHAM, she designs exams and instructs classes in preparation for CPAT and CCAT certification. Her ability to operate diverse patient accounting systems enables her to develop processes for optimum team efficiency. Her passion and enthusiasm motivates co-workers, promotes a sense of job enrichment, and increases employee satisfaction.
Maribeth Neelis, Development Manager
Maribeth has over seven years of marketing and healthcare experience in both the nonprofit and for profit sectors. Most recently, Maribeth used her expertise in online and traditional marketing to develop and implement multichannel marketing strategies to rebrand Colorado’s community health centers. As a marketing consultant, Maribeth helped small businesses harness the power of the internet, using social media, search engine optimization and online advertising to attract customers in highly-competitive markets, such as Healthcare and IT. Maribeth holds a BS in journalism from Ohio University and an MBA in Health Administration from the University of Colorado.
Bryan Bakley, Revenue Cycle Analyst
Bryan Bakley came to MBR after several successes in other industries. At just 18-years-old, Bryan was his team’s top-selling agent at Ecreek Solutions Group. He was the youngest foreman at Clearly Building Corp., a national construction company, and went on to be the highest performing first-year foreman in the company, while remaining a full time student at Metropolitan State College of Denver. Bryan works directly with the CEO using his analytical skills, project management experience and solid work ethic to develop innovative solutions for MBR’s clients.
